Pedro joined Aroeira Salles in June 2013 as an intern in the external and internal control team. At the end of 2014, he graduated in Law from Milton Campos Law School and qualified as a lawyer at the firm.
Since joining the firm, Pedro has worked on administrative and judicial proceedings related to the internal and external control of the Public Administration, including actions of administrative improbity and has also advised on the management of public works contracts and concessions in Brazil and abroad relating to roads, rail, airport, oil and gas among other sectors.
In the area of compliance and anticorruption, Pedro advises on the development and improvement of compliance programs in private companies, in corporate investigations and in the analysis and development of compliance mechanisms in relation to corporate acts and infrastructure contracts. In this area, he also works on administrative and judicial proceedings related to Law n. 12,846 / 2013, including proceedings relating to a leniency agreement which involved discussing its legal effects before the judiciary authorities and external control bodies. He is also a member of the OAB / MG Compliance Permanent Studies Committee since 2016.
In relation to academic activities, Pedro was the editor and secretary-general of the “Milton Campos Academic Review”, with publications in specialised journals in Brazil and abroad.
